| Description: | SOUNDSPIRIT workshops are devoted to using the voice as the therapeutic instrument for the release of fine energies that become the healing agents for physical, mental and spiritual well- being. Six pathways of voicework are followed: toning the chakras in various forms, intoning mantras, ritualizing natural sounds, exploring the Taoist healing sounds for the organs, chanting from different traditions and collective improvisation. In addition there is the application of tuning forks as a passive approach to sound healing. Movements similar to Tai Chi are used to encourage and direct the sound. There is both externalized and internalized sound practice leading to meditation. |
