We heal the planet, we heal ourselves.

We heal ourselves and we heal the planet.

Dear Sound Friends:

We want to wish you the most extraordinary of positive manifestation for this coming year, including planting a seed for the co-creation of World Sound Healing Day.

As many of you may be aware, coming up on February 14, 2021 will be the 19th Annual World Sound Healing Day.

World Sound Healing Day is a global event dedicated to healing our planet through projecting intentionalized loving sounds to the Earth and all sentient beings.

The purpose of World Sound Healing Day is to:

1). Heal Our Planet!
2). Heal Our Waters!
3). Raise Our Consciousness!

Traditionally at noon (your local time), people have sounded forth with an “AH” encoded with love as a sonic valentine to the Gaia Matrix—our Mother Earth. This year, because of the extenuating global circumstances, we’ve been guided to open up this event to be more inclusive and all encompassing. This year, we are suggesting that any sound made with the energy of love and compassion is wonderful to resonate for World Sound Healing Day.

This healing sound can be any vocal sound — Ah, Hum, Om, etc. —any tone—crystal bowl, Tibetan bell, didjeridoo, etc. — any instrument—piano, violin, drum, etc.—or any sort of performance or sonic presentation you'd like to make. As long as it is created with the energy of love and compassion and dedicated to the purpose of World Sound Healing Day, it will be a good and appropriate sound.

This year, the 19th Annual World Sound Healing Day will be primarily a virtual event. We invite anyone who wants to present an event through whatever internet platform they prefer and post it on the Events Portal on the World Sound Healing Day website that we have created this year.

What event you choose and how you decide to do this is totally up to you. Simply go to the Events Portal and list it. For those looking for an event to partake in, we believe there will be plenty for you to participate in and co-create, projecting loving energy to our planet on Feb. 14, 2021.

There will be much more information forthcoming about World Sound Healing Day, but as noted, we wanted to plant a seed of manifestation for Global Harmonization. No need to organize a live event but rather contemplate a virtual experience you’d like to share with others.

As we begin the 2021 New Year, let the sacred resonance of the 19th Annual World Sound Healing Day begin to vibrate with us. Happy New Year!

Blessings of Light & Love through Sound,

Jonathan Goldman & the Healing Sounds Family

My Healing Journey with Sound by Professor Jeralyn Glass

I have always been acutely aware of the healing power of music, especially the vibrational power inherent in the human voice. Music is the universal means of expression, the language of humanity, and our voice, the most personal instrument of all connects us to our hearts. I have been blessed to spend my life in the performing arts enjoying an international career as a singer and teacher. It is a great privilege and joy to share my music and mastery, guiding my students and clients in discovering and opening their true, authentic voice and their unique soul signature sound and expression.

In 2008, between engagements singing Mozart, Beethoven and Verdi, I discovered Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing bowls and was dazzled by their exquisite sounds. I always loved the Himalayan singing bowls, but these were very different. I bought a set of seven, one for each chakra, and began to explore. I experimented. I used them to open blockages, relieve stress and create balance and harmony for myself, my family and my students. When a student had a vocal blockage, I would ask them to choose a bowl and tone or sing with it. Their blockage would dissipate. I loved the soulful intimacy and long lingering sense of peace from the sounds. Magical. My young son loved them too. ‘Mommy,’ he would say as I tucked him into bed, ‘please give me my sound blanket!’ And I would play. And he would drop into a deep sleep.

In 2006, I was moved to create a children’s foundation in Germany where I was living and working. The goal of the Kids4kids World Foundation was to train young people in the performing arts and instill in them the power of teamwork and service at a young age. Every year our original productions raised over 25,000€ to support the music therapy program which we co created, serving hundreds of children and their families throughout Germany.

Our performers often participated in a national music contest, and when my son was thirteen, he made it to the semifinals of the singing competition. One week before his audition, he came into the room with a grimace on his face. “mom, listen, my voice!” It had begun to drop in register! At that point in my teaching career, I had not yet guided a boy through his voice change. I trusted my intuition and knowledge about healthy singing. We worked with the crystal alchemy bowls every day. He chose the little citrine G note. He gently toned and hummed with it. And his voice remained open. We lowered his keys by a fourth, and a week later he sang his 15-minute program brilliantly. The citrine anchored a security that was miraculous at that vulnerable time.

“My name his Dylan”, he said with great confidence “and since last week, I am no longer a soprano!” Everyone laughed. He was thrilled.

Fast forward 6 years later.

On March 27, 2015, my life changed forever when I lost him, dearest Dylan, my only child, my beloved 19-year-old son. I never imagined one day music would be my emotional stability through such an unimaginable loss. I am traversing a journey of profound grief, and music is the stabilizing container embracing and transforming that anguish. I am navigating the intensity of the feelings supported by the vibrations of the Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing Bowls. When I am frozen in the depths of despair and overwhelmed by loss, the pure crystalline emanations in combination with breathwork anchor and transmute. Their incredible beauty, the pristine, sacred vibrations of their tones soothes, comforts and take me instantly to my son. A profound and tender connection ever present through the heavenly frequencies. The bodily felt sensation of pure Love. Eternal. Heaven/Earth. The luminescent pathways created are indescribable, transforming the darkness to radiance. Morphing the grief to love, acceptance, gratitude and joy. Understanding it is all perfect.  A journey of healing, of release, of receiving; a journey of heart, soul, and love eternal.

My transformational journey with sound vibration and energy medicine has been nothing short of phenomenal. My son began communicating with me the night he died, sending me a whoosh of sound vibration in a shooting star, guiding me, holding me, bringing joy and fulfillment in ways I had never thought would ever be possible. Five months after his passing, I was struggling. He said, “Mom, call the bowl dudes” I ignored him, and he insisted. “Call the bowl dudes”. I did. And my life path changed. With his guidance, I created Crystal Cadence, A place for Song and Sound Healing and home of the Crystal Tones Los Angeles Temple where 400 bowls are available for purchase. I travel the world teaching healing sound, leading meditations and giving concerts. I work regularly with cancer patients and train alchemy sound healers. We learn bowl playing techniques, we study the notes of the chakra and endocrine system, we train in bioenergetics, we do improvisational exercises and activate our human instrument. In 2018, Dylan suggested we present an online series called “The Sacred Science of Sound.” Jonathan Goldman spoke, Eileen Mckusick, Barry Goldstein, Lee Harris, Dr. Daniel Levitin, Deva Premal and Miten, Gregg Braden, Anita Moorjani and Dr. Sue Morter too. People all around the globe listened. And they asked for a live event.

We invite you now to join us Nov 1-3 in Los Angeles at the Sacred Science of Sound. It promises to be nothing less than extraordinary. www.sacredsciencesound.com

Sound Healing For Public Speaking by Judith Quin

Do you use the power of sound to enhance your speaking voice?

You can use it to manage nerves, release challenging thoughts and bring yourself into the full power of your presence.

The first time I experienced Sound Healing I was in a voice class at drama school, repeating sounds, feeling the vibration through our bodies. I wanted to stop. I was feeling all sorts of things I didn’t want to feel.  Our teacher said it meant my voice was opening areas it hadn’t accessed for a long time; and I burst into a flood of tears.

Eight years later, I discovered sound-healer Stewart Pearce (who taught my drama-school voice teacher!).  After taking Stewart’s course I began incorporating sound in my massage work. I went to Egypt on a spiritual holiday and was invited to lead my first group sound circles.

Then one day, a massage client asked if I knew anyone who could help her husband gain confidence in public speaking.  I did. Me!

This started what I do today, sound healer and vocal confidence and communication specialist.  I reconnect people to who they really are, and release the restrictions they hold around speaking and self-expression to find their confident voice.

Why? When I was about 9 years old, a music teacher said to open our mouths when we sing.  I did, and three girls started making fun of me.  Suddenly the thing I loved was ‘dangerous’ and might ostracise me.  This stuck with me.  It got so bad when auditioning for musicals huge nerves would kick in, my body shake, and my voice would go.

These are the same kinds of challenges people face when they don’t like speaking in front of others or are afraid to have a challenging conversation.  You shut down, or shut off the parts of your voice that connect with the experiences your brain remembers as vulnerable - and your body responds.

Your voice affects every part of your life.  Whether you are expressing yourself personally or professionally you need to let go of the barriers and blocks a younger you created mentally, physically and emotionally around self-expression.

Next time you are nervous about speaking, I invite you to hum and ‘Haw’.  Let your voice vibration ground you, bring you back into your body and release those emotional charges too. It is the simplest way to change your state because it works in a moment. It is physical, emotional and spiritual.  It is accessible immediately and you need no special tools to create it.

This is how I connect my clients to their deepest truth, to the passion behind their purpose to speak with clarity, confidence and conviction.  Every one of them a pebble into the ocean of creating global vocal-liberation and sending “Sound Around The World.”

I ask them … words make waves – so why not speak with the power of Your Whole Voice?!
